Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Molar Town collects, how it is used, and how consent to text messaging is handled.
What we collect
When you email us
Your email address, your name if you sign it, and what you write. Please don’t email medical histories or sensitive documents. If we ever need records, we will set up a secure way to share them.
When you call or text
Your phone number, the messages we exchange, and a record of when you agreed to receive texts. How texting works is spelled out in our Terms and Conditions.
When you visit this site
Our website host, WordPress.com, records basic details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you view, and may set cookies to keep the site working. Videos and maps embedded here come from YouTube and Google, which have their own policies. If we add analytics or advertising tools, we will say so on this page.
When you become a patient
Your health information is protected under HIPAA and described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which you receive at your first visit. Your records belong to you. You can ask for a copy at any time, and DentalDNA provides them in a form you can read.
How we use it
We use your information to reply when you write or call, to schedule your visits and remind you about them, and to keep this site running. If you asked for updates about Molar Town, we send them by email, and you can leave that list at any time.
We do not sell your information, and we do not buy or rent contact lists. The only companies that see it are the ones that help us run the practice, such as our phone service, our scheduling and records software, and our website host, and only so they can do that job for us. We may disclose information when the law requires it.
Text messaging
When you agree to receive texts from Molar Town, that consent is used for one purpose: texting with you. We do not sell your phone number, and we do not give your opt-in to any other company for its own marketing. The services that carry our messages, our phone provider and the mobile carriers, see what they need to deliver them and nothing more.
Ordinary text messages are not encrypted, and anyone with access to your phone can read them. For that reason we keep texts to scheduling and logistics and discuss the details of your care in person or by phone.
Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
No mobile opt-in message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Your choices
Email hello@molartown.com to see what we have about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will, unless the law requires us to keep it, as it does with dental records. To stop texts, reply STOP. To leave the update list, reply to any update and say so.
This site is written for adults, and we do not knowingly collect information from children online. When a child becomes a patient, a parent or guardian manages their records.
